A DAY IN THE LIFE is presenting 50 Beatles songs performed live to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Paul McCartney and John Lennon meeting. If you or your band would like to be part of this event, contact Chico Harris at beatles@oxfordland.net. All artists/bands are asked to perform at least three songs. The event is a fundraiser for MusicCares.

A DAY IN THE LIFE is presenting a visual Beatles art competition. The art can be painting, sculpture, pottery, etc., it need only portray a Beatles song or, even better, the meeting of the teenaged Paul and John.

The 50-Mile Beatles Run

From the Elvis Presley birthplace in Tupelo to the Powerhouse in Oxford is 50 miles. A DAY IN THE LIFE is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the introduction of Paul McCartney and John Lennon with five runners running 10 miles each in shifts from the E.P. birthplace to the site of the Beatles celebration. Runners collect sponsors to pay any amount per mile and the event is a fundraiser for MusicCares.

Each runner gets:

• two tickets for the show
• an event t-shirt
• an event poster
