Dear Sir Paul McCartney:
Down here in Mississippi, we’re celebrating the 50th anniversary of you and John Lennon meeting at the rock show in Liverpool. We were getting ready for the big event with the art and 50-mile run and 50 Beatles songs performed live when we realized that despite the long and wonderful career you’ve had in changing the course of music and history, you’ve never played in the state of Mississippi. We’re here to help you change that. We’re having this show here in Oxford, Mississippi called A DAY IN THE LIFE and the 50 Beatles songs performed live that I mentioned? If you show up, you can play on ANY of those you want! The big “A Day In The Life” finale would be cool, but shoot, you can play on ALL 50 if you get here in time! Don’t worry about bringing that Rickenbacker. I got a Univox fiddle bass that will look great on you and you can even take it back to England if you want. I've already reserved you a room at the Ole Miss motel, so just give us a holler! Thanks, |
